Day 2:
Kalpetta - Meenangady - Phantom Rocks - Ambalavayal - Edakal Caves - Sultan Batery- Tipu's fort[Jain Temple]- Muthanga Wild Life Safari Park - Kerala-Karnataka border - MadhyanaGundi - Gundalpet.
Then, we headed towards Edakal Caves via Ambala Vayal. We reached there by 7:20 AM, the entry was allowed only from 9:30 Am- 4:30 PM..since we have time restrictions, we move on and start climbing the Hill; its a very steep hill abt 2500 Ft above see level. Only 4 WD jeep can climb. So, we park our Fiesta down and then started up. It took about 25 Min to reach the top. While on ur way, u can find the Nature's beauty and Bird's Eye View of Kalpetta, Meenangady and Sultanbatery. Awesome view and its a Excellent view point as well. Wen we reached the top,. we shocked to see the Rocks.. Awesome babee...simply "rocking"...and since the gate was closed.. we peep in thru it and hooo god...its damn danger and very risky to get in and walk thru it...But, we can walk into it further and can view the Famous Paintings, believed that drwan by Cave Men of 10-12th century..but, as we don't have enough time we climbed down after spending 20-30 mins over ter...It can be a worth place to get in, if u have 2-3 hrs to spent. Also, u have few Economic home stays on the way.
NB: its very risky and difficult for Ladies and Fat People to climb abt 2 Km stretch. But, its worth it.
From, there we move on towards Sultan Batery and we landed @ Tipu's fort, now its a Jain temple.. It was a jain temple and tipu sultan has used it during his regime as a fort to keep Weapons. Now, its a Monument. Gud One.
Then, we had Breakfast @ Dwaraka Prince hotel and headed towards Muthanga wild Life Safari Park, in Kerala- Karnataka Forest. Its abt 20 Km from Batery. Its a dense forest with lots of habitats like Tiger/Leopard, Elephant,Deer, Beer, wild Cats/Wolfs and variety of Snake breeds. Be Careful while on this road, ANY TIME u can see a WILD Animal Crossing the Road. u can see N number of Boards stating Wild Animal Crossing, Go Slow and lots of Humps in between. So, if u r lucky enough u can get a close view of some animals.
